Camping

So this past weekend my ward had youth conference...camping style!! It was way fun!! We went to Moqui which is by Knoll Lake or something like that.
Hailee, Holly, Grace, Alyssa, and I

Sunglasses: Making it possible to blink in pictures, sleep during devotionals, stare at people without them knowing, and cover up your lack of make up. Oh and shun the sun, that too.

I loved it! Probably my most favorite part was Capture the Flag! Epicness!! We went out into the forest away from the campgrounds and played a couple rounds! Each round lasted at least an hour it seemed like! Jonah and Trevon got logs and rope and made one huge boundary across and then we could go as far back as we wanted. Yeah, we went pretty far. I was so glad I was in jeans because we were running through bushes and trees and nature. My legs still got cut up! During the last round, I was guarding the jail that Hailee was in, and Trevon came up from behind to tag Hailee. Only the jail was in a pile of fallen trees, and I wasn't about to let them get away so I dived hoping to grab Trevon and bring him down. Only I broke my own fall and landed smack down into the trees. I survived, my pants just got ripped and my leg is bruised. No big deal. I was so close.

Louie Carmona came up and spoke to us too. That was my second favorite part. He made this triangle analogy:  On the top of the triangle is spirituality, and then the bottom two corners are mental and physical. In order to be a strong triangle you need all three. He talked all about how being active and eating right are so good for you. I totally connected with him when he was talking about how energized he feels when he wakes up and work outs and how he can focus on other things and it actually increases his mental abilites and his spirituality. He also talked about eating right and lots of organic foods. Here's a gross fact: If you have only a 20 ounce soda every day for a month, that is 4 pounds of pure sugar in your body. Disgusting. Most people have at least 32 ounces a day. I know I'm going to keep sticking to water.

I had a blast! I was so glad I went, even though beforehand I really did not want to go! It was so nice to get to be around the youth in my ward, and be out in nature, and grow closer to God. What a fun weeekend! (Group pictures and such will follow soon...)
